We hiked to the woods near Tomsk for FHE this week.
There were 13 of us and that included 2 of our investigators.
Elder Gornastaev had the spiritual thought.
It started with 12 of us lighting a small stick on the fire.
Then he talked about Christ and his 12 apostles and after Christ died how one by one the apostles were taken from the earth and more and more light went out.
As our sticks died one by one, he continued to tell the story about the great apostasy and then, of course how it became necessary for a restoration. . .
It was a great lesson.
We are watching Sister Valsalevskaya to see what in the world she was building over the fire
It was a structure to hold the links which were put on skewers - very interesting
These are the "hot dog" - "links" that is how they come
Oh, Oh!! The sun is setting and we have stayed too long.
After a dark hike back through the graveyard, and a stop at the branch to get the sisters things we take a taxi and the sisters have to call in late. OOPS!
