June 7, 2011

Hello Everyone,
We landed in Denver on Monday June 6, 2011 at 7:55 pm after short layovers in Atlanta, Georgia, Moscow, Russia and Novosibirsk, Russia.  Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.  Our journey to Denver was actually enjoyable and went off without any problems.  We had the sun chasing us the whole trip and we actually gained 13 hours.  We left Novosibirsk at 7 AM on Monday and landed in Denver at 8:00 PM on Monday so it only took us 13 hours to get here even though we were in the air for 19 hours and lounging in airports for 7 hours!!!  What an emotional event we had landing in Atlanta and returning to the United States.  We will never take for granted ever again even the smallest of blessings that we enjoy in this wonderful country.  The first thing we did after landing was enjoy eating a lot of Popeye Chicken and crying tears of gratitude over this simple blessing.  We then enjoyed pizza and root beer (no root beer in Russia) in Denver and just couldn't help shedding a few more tears.  Today we will go find the best hamburger in Denver.  Last night at 10:30 PM Andrea took us to the hospital to see Mylee.  We couldn't wait for today to see her.  What a wonderful miracle and blessing this little angel is.  It certainly makes us all understand what is important in this life.  Words cannot express the overpowering testimony of the miracle of fasting and prayer and the power and authority of the Priesthood that have blessing this beautiful spirit.  Again, many tears of gratitude and joy were shed in her room last night.  Our Father in Heaven has richly blessed our family through Mylee.  We could have no stronger confirmation than we received last night of our purpose in being here.  We are where we should be and doing the right thing.  We look forward to watching Mylee grow and progress to the day she is released from the hospital.  We love and appreciate all of you, our family and friends.  May the Lord bless you and may you all give all your family members big hugs.
Signing off for now,
Elder and Sister, Ma and Pa, John and Marsha Aland
