Gratitude is NOT in getting what you want, but in wanting what you get, right?
Well, I would like to compose a small list for you to be grateful for, and in NO WAY am I complaining, because we are, overall, having a great time in our rustic environment. . .but these are some of the daily things we took for granted, and maybe you do also:
1. A large fridge
2. A large washer
3. A dryer
4. A large table and large chairs.
5. Pretty much a large anything.
6. Clean, drinkable water from any tap.
7. A sink in your large bathroom.
8. A thermostat that you can turn off and on when you are hot or cold.
9. More than 2 bedrooms with furniture.
10. A car or even 2? That's very amazing, you must be very wealthy.
And I bet each of you have the knowledge that everything you have will not likely be taken away from you.
But, anyway, these are all just things.
Be most grateful for our amazing wards with priesthood quorums, enough deacons to pass the sacrament and young teachers to prepare it, and priests to bless it.
More than enough teachers for classes and many numbers in each of the many classrooms.
And last of all never take for granted our testimony and your knowledge base of the gospel truths.
But, we better learn all we can and soak it up and read and study
and pray and ponder it daily and then maybe,
we will keep up with the converts that really treasure it.
Our love and blessings to you all,
Elder and Sister Aland
